In today's Ivy SeaZine edition, I share something that many of Sophia's Children -- women and men called to a new authenticity, to co-create a new paradigm -- experience.
Something that causes us to silence ourselves, to dim our light.
Something that shut down the Feminine ages ago, and that drove the Mystery, Feminine, and Wisdom traditions underground.
Here's how the SeaZine article starts (there's a link to the rest of the article & a fab sidebar article, too).
Wow, that was vicious! (A fear that silences & dims us...)
Here's a little personal story about word-power, garbage-slinging, and how we trade our authenticity and make ourselves acceptable 'dull bulbs' to avert potential attacks or even disapproval.
Ouch, I know. It DOES hurt. I get that, and I share a little bit about WHY I get it in this newsletter.
See if you feel the familiarity of this in your gut...
After reading an article in Salon.com yesterday, I was stunned. Well, more accurately, I felt a knot of sick-anxiety gnawing in my gut...like I had a heavy stone on my chest.
"Wow," I thought. "What the hell is this about?"
I did a little bit of 'pattern tracking' and then it dawned on me...it was the viciousness. The utter viciousness of some of the replies to the article.
And it reminded me of a pretty horrific experience from my younger years -- an experience that prompted me to tone down, dull my shine, be 'acceptable' (or really, invisible!) so I'd never attract that kind of vicious attack again.
You'll find the full story and a fab sidebar article, in the Ivy SeaZine current edition.
I look forward to hearing your stories, so wander on back and post.
Lots of love,
Jamie
