So.... are any you feeling the intensity of the current energies, or noticing others -- clients, coworkers, family members, friends -- who seem to be a bit more edgy, jumpy, thin-skinned, sensitive, emotional, crabby, agitated, short-tempered...the list could go on? Or both?
For those who are energetically or psychically sensitive (and not everyone realizes that they are, indeed, sensitive), you might be really feeling it these days. Not that this is anything new, but we're in another period of pretty intense energies at the macro level, and that usually shows up in how we feel and what we notice in the experience of those around us.
One of my favorite resources for checking out what the heck is going on energetically -- usually because I'm picking it up like a radar in my mental, physical or energy bodies -- is my friend Kim Gould's Love Your Design blog. Kim's current entry for today includes the title, "Take it easy today...". Wish I'd read it first thing instead of at noon!
Kim shares that the prevailing energies are showing up significantly in our solar plexus, or emotional centers. That means that some of us may feel suddenly 'lit up' with a whole range of emotions shuffling from one to another, and not realizing that all of these wonderful emotional reactions may not be ours. Such is life for a sensitive who's wired to receive that particular frequency!
That's right - what you're feeling, reacting to, and so on may not even be yours. You're just picking it up and processing it by default, kind of like a channel for someone else's 'stuff'! We might experience this in a variety of ways mentally, physically, and energetically.
It took me a long time to realize this, and the Human Design reading that Kim did for me really helped me to appreciate what I really already knew: That not only am I wired to pick up various frequencies of what other people are feeling or thinking (even when they don't say a word), but that more than a fair share of the emotional 'stuff' I was processing wasn't even mine, but was actually coming in from other people.
Sometimes others unwittingly project their 'stuff' that they aren't ready, able, or willing to really feel or deal with. Kind of like lobbing a volleyball over a net for the first available sensitive to pick up, act out, channel, and process. Ahhhh, that feels so much better! Unless you're the processing plant that received the energetic garbage.
Most people aren't aware of these dynamics, so there's no shame, no blame, just information and choices. And it definitely fosters my own commitment to help others become more aware of not only their Divine uniqueness, but also their energy states and habits.
We're wired to receive energies and information this way for a reason; the trick is to know what our particular wiring is, and then know what energy is actually ours and what energy is 'incoming' from others, and adopt conscious practices to work with all of that more effectively so that we can do what we're here to do, more sanely and enjoyably.
So as Kim says, take it easy. And as many have said before me, 'Know Thyself' and thine own energetic-psychic wiring, and adopt practices that help you to stay grounded, clear and discerning, and also clear out energetic garbage and emotional debris when it comes flying your way.
In addition to checking in with Kim's blog, it's good to do extra 'energy hygiene', including some basics, like grounding, clearing your energy field through smudging, visualization and intentional prayer, and buffering your energy field. I pull from a repertoire of practices as needed, and also have ones I do regularly in my daily practice. It all helps!
Two other practices that I've researched, immersed myself in, and adopted in recent months are TAT (Tapas Acupressure Technique) and an updated form of Ho'oponopono, an ancient Hawaiian practice. Both are really powerful at helping to clear the clutter and restoring you to a sense of 'center'!
And a good belly laugh is great for clearing the solar plexus-emotional center, so laugh it up. If you can't find someone to laugh with, just start laughing and keep going ... what Osho called 'laughing meditation'. Laughter really is a great medicine!
(If you want to explore questions and options, learn more about your 'wiring' and helpful practices, or how to more effectively and skillfully integrate these practices with communication, marketing, Law of Attraction efforts, and/or how you handle others' energies (as they show up in interactions at work, home, etc.), send me an email and we can schedule a session. In the meanwhile, don't channel someone else's stuff - fill yourself up with You and clear, clear, clear!)
Love,
Jamie
