Are you feeling the buzz? A sensation of time slipping by all the more quickly? Or just wondering what the heck the Ninth Wave is and why you're feeling like you're all ramped-up and falling-behind?
Or, as Will Ferrell's character in Zoolander says, "I feel like I'm taking crazy pills!"?
Let's untangle this ball of yarn a bit -- tugging on the loose end in a frenzy only makes the thing knot up all the more!
The Ninth Wave is the last level of a long period of human history identified by the Mayan Calendar, as interpreted by Carl Johan Calleman*, among others.
Earlier waves are much longer and, by comparison, more leisurely or dense in frequency and vibration. Each successive wave is both considerably shorter -- twenty times -- and carries with it a faster frequency and a higher vibration.
Some would say that time feels like it's more accelerated, flying by more quickly, in each wave.
From 1999 through March 8th, 2011 -- yes, that's just this week -- we've been in the Eighth Wave, with each year defined as a day or night. We're currently in the Seventh, and last, Day.
On March 9th, we shifted from the Eighth into the Ninth Wave, with its attendant 20-times-faster vibe and frequency. This last wave started on March 9th and completes on October 28th, 2011, according to Mssr. Calleman's calculations.
I came upon Carl Johan Calleman's work just after Thanksgiving in 2006, when I had a "WTF" moment after really feeling and noticing what seemed an acceleration in 'time' and a heightened vibration.
With no frame of reference, I went searching the web and learned that we'd just shifted from the Fourth Night to the Fifth Day. Moreso, what Mr. Calleman described was exactly what I'd felt and experienced. I've followed his updates since.
We shifted early last November from the Sixth Night into the Seventh Day, so you might have noticed the time-and-vibration thing then.
With the shift into the Ninth Level, you'll notice it even more, as it feels harder and harder to 'keep track of time' and easier and easier to feel like you're falling behind in the stack of to-do's.
If, that is, you remain completely devoted to linear, clock-and-calendar time and the beliefs that that's all there is. Practicing present-moment-awareness and "Kairos Time" helps...and it is practice.
We're also just a few weeks past a Chiron shift into Pisces from Aquarius -- that ended a five year cycle that started in 2005 and wrapped in mid-February, and started a new five year cycle. What occurred for you between 2005 and early 2011 that felt like old wounds coming up, various crises, and opportunities for healing?
And we're just 24 hours or so from the big Uranus shift -- the end of one seven-year cycle and the start of a new one.
That electrical, lightning-bolt archetypal energy has been wandering through and stirring up the watery, visionary, intuitive, compassionate archetypal Pisces for seven years -- since early 2003. Uranus strikes fast -- sudden insights, sudden shake-ups -- to liberate us from old patterns, projections, and beliefs that are holding us back from being who we really are.
What's occurred in your life in that seven-year cycle since 2003? My own experience has been pretty dramatic, very intense, kind of wild, very unexpected, and wholly transforming. That's Uranus.
Uranus makes its move on Friday, March 11th (evening, Eastern U.S.), into a new seven-year cycle and the fiery, brash, initiating energy of Aries. Very different energies in some area of your life.
(If you happen to be an Aquarius Sun or Rising, as is Yours Truly, you've noticed Uranus cycles more intensely -- the Uranus energy and archetype is considered the ruler of Aquarius).
With the shift into the Ninth Wave being sandwiched between the Big Moves of Chiron and Uranus -- with other archetypes in the peanut gallery -- there are few of us who wouldn't be noticing the shifting energy weather, and perhaps feel 'between themes' or between-cycles...something is ending, something is starting, and it may or may not be all that clear.
The focus of the Ninth Wave is unity consciousness, as in intending to align with unity consciousness, and intending to practice and then embody unity consciousness. Unity consciousness is flavored by our reclaiming the Feminine and mediating a new harmony between Masculine and Feminine. It's about time.
Though these are big ideals or concepts, they also find their way into everyday expression: the way we think, the way we act, the way we interact.
That's the whole point: to bring Heaven, the Divine possibility and inspired ideals, to Earth in our thoughts, words, actions, and creations. Our very way of being.
And the end-game -- what some are calling the whole 2012 thing -- isn't a given, neither apocalypse or paradise. It's a choice, a vision, and we intend and co-create what we'd want to be living (or want the next generations to be living).
Since these energies can be pretty intense, particularly when they're on the move from one section of your life and one particular element (water) to another (fire), being aware helps, as does moving with compassion and allowing yourself (and others) some Tender Loving Care that slows, soothes, restores.
Surf-Soothe-and-Stay-Sane Recommendations?
Slow down (I know - it's a conundrum when things are speeding by and we're Krazy Glue'd to our tech-toys). Ground yourself with good food and body-centered things that connect you with Earth, like walking or gardening if weather allows. Yin yoga, tai chi, or qigong are good options, too.
Since it's a vibrational shift that you feel vibrationally, use like approaches -- flower essences (Walnut and Olive Bach essences are a good start), essential oils (Lavender soothes, Cedar grounds), and meridian-type practices like EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique).
Slow down, turn off the technology, and sip herbal teas (Chamomile, Valerian, Cat Nip, Lavender), and allow quiet or listen to soothing music, particularly in the hour or two before bed-time.
If you're a meditator, or open to it, sit and breathe deep into your belly for a 15 or 30 minute meditation before you go to sleep. It helps.
And get good sleep (the above will help with that).
Allow yourself the same in the first few minutes you awaken into a new day, too -- it sets the pace and tone of the whole day.
I'll be writing more soon, once I've integrated the immense energies -- BZZZT -- and insights that are blazing through right now.
In the meanwhile, I'm receiving and integrating those energies, and doing the Circe-version of chopping wood and carrying water: I'm chopping vegetables and doing the laundry instead. (More on Circe and her magic in the Feminine Mojo Mystery School.)
Have questions about the shifts, energies, or the transformation you're feeling?
Feel free to send along an email.
